Much of Institute's work has been focused on the development of laboratory automation systems. In order to be effective, those working in laboratories have to be educated about what automation systems are and in their use.

This program is under development and in its first iteration will result in a traditional presentation course. Once that work has been completed and tested, the second phase of the program will develop that course material into on-line presentations and a course kit that can be used by schools to acquaint students with the new methods of conducting laboratory work.
