Laboratory Automation Programs

Publications

The work on LAE was originally begun by Delphinus by publishing material related to laboratory automation engineering for both managers and implementers. One item - "Manager's Survival Guide to Engineering Laboratory Automation " - is available for purchase, the rest are available at no charge for downloading as PDF [Adobe Acrobat Required] files. Note: under agreement with the original publisher, the expanded version of "Are You a Laboratory Automation Engineer?" is available through a form, however there are no required fields.

Services

Better Systems Lead to Better Science, Better Science Leads to Successful Programs...

The purpose of our work is to help companies turn isolated workstations into integrated systems, that in turn, help scientists, researchers, and engineers do their work more effectively. Laboratories produce new knowledge, information, and data (K / I / D). The success of those labs depends on their ability to produce, manage, and use K / I / D as resource for further research, product development and commercialization, and to improve your company's competitiveness. Our services are designed to make that possible.

The application of automation in laboratories is often done at the workstation level. Labs usually lack an overall laboratory automation program that covers setting criteria for integration, product selection, document archiving, intellectual property and technology management / utilization, etc.

We are interested in working with companies to develop programs tailored to their specific needs, based on the work we've done in creating a unique methodology to support this development (see "Manager's Survival Guide to Engineering Laboratory Automation ").

Please contact us for more information.

Training Courses

We are developing a set of courses to support the development of Laboratory Automation Engineering at both the management and implementer levels. These courses may be given as short courses, on-line access, and/or tailored to a particular organizations needs.

Resource Program

The skills required to implement laboratory automation systems is broader than any single organization is likely to be able to support. We interested in organizing a list of individuals and companies that support laboratory automation.
