Continuing education..
... in the field of lab automation is essential for both lab personnel, management, and IT organizations that support lab work. The Institute for Laboratory Automation and Lab Manager Magazine have partnered together to create "Lab Automation University ℠" a series of web-based training events to teach lab managers, lab personnel and support teams, how to plan for, purchase, and utilize lab automation products and technologies.
Why is this training needed? |
- In a Lab Manager Magazine (LMM) survey (March 2011) 96% of those surveyed said that educating lab personnel was an important factor in making a decision to use lab automation technologies
- Another LMM survey (July/Aug 2011) survey of those interested in electronic lab notebooks showed that a third of the respondents said "staff adoption and training" were among the biggest challenges they faced.
- an ILA / Lab Managers Association (ALMA) survey indicated that the majority of the people coming into the lab didn't have the skills need to work with modern automation technologies.

| Why are we charging for Webinars? |
The primary purpose of the Institute and Lab Automation University is to provide quality education in lab automation. These seminars/courses are vendor-neutral, and can help you plan and implement successful programs. Our funding comes from these courses, and our plan is to considerably broaden the offerings.
Webinars are convenient since they don't require travel, and avoid time-out-of-the-office (your manager will appreciate that), and still give access to solid, usable material. |
