Laboratory Automation embraces a wide range of technologies and products, applied to lab work in life sciences, water testing, electronics, chemistry, physics, forensics, and a lot more. Within these industries, applications are found in both R&D and quality control/assurance. The purpose of the "ILA Forum" is to find a place where people can:
- learn about the tools available and discuss their application to lab work, and,
- discuss the practice of lab automation, for example, how to manage projects, developing user requirements for programs, validation, and so on...
It isn't just about products, but also about how to use them, and develop successful programs. We are looking for participation from:
- scientists,
- engineers,
- IT professionals...
...anyone with an interest in lab automation work. The meetings will be managed by the ILA, a non-profit organization. We plan to work cooperatively with other groups such as LRIG, LIMS/LI, and the ALMA.
